Walnut Circle Grill takes pride in our employees. We've recently added
several new faces to meet increasing demand, but we'd like to introduce
you to someone who has been with us since January.
Jack Canizaro is a member of our wait staff at Walnut Circle Grill. He grew up in New Orleans and later moved to Laurel with his family, where he graduated from Watkins High School. He has attended LSU, Ole Miss and USM and is working toward a degree in Political Science. In the future, he plans on working as a political analyst. In his spare time, Jack enjoys music and travel, and enjoys spending time with his friends. Please say hello to Jack the next time you're in Walnut Circle Grill and congratulate him on being our Employee of the week! |

Friday, October 28 beginning at 8 pm
Guitarist/Vocalist Chris Cortez's newest solo CD, 'Mum is the Word',
delivers a blazing set of acoustic, straight ahead jazz and follows the
success of last years, 'Hold It Right There', a straight ahead session
of standards. He also produced, performed, and wrote many of the songs
on Groovopolis, last year's smash smooth jazz release. Prior to that his
two solo CDs, the latin jazz and fusion project, Talamasca, and his
first solo disc, Territorial Imperative also garnered rave reviews.
Chris Cortez has become an active and influential force in jazz. He performs solo, leads his own groups and backs up many national artists. You can hear music from many of our artists in the Virtual Lounge on our website! |

| Dustin Messina |
Saturday, October 29 beginning at 8 pm
Dustin Messina is a 19 year old guitar player/singer- songwriter from
Jackson, MS. He started playing in the local blues clubs at age 13 and
hasn't stopped since. Dustin has played with the famed guitar player
Jeff Healey and has opened for the legendary B.B. King. He also shares
the same birthday as two of his biggest influenes Stevie Ray Vaughan and
Keb' Mo (October 3rd). Just recently signed with the Indie record label
Grace Productions Group, Dustin's self- titled album was released
September 6th. It will be in local stores shortly, along with cdbaby.com
and amazon.com.
Dustin performs Saturday night accompanied by his dad, Joe Messina on vocals and guitar and also Lloyd Munn on harmonica. Dustin and Joe perform often in the Jackson area and are welcomed by fans across the state. |
