Shandi Shiver, the band's featured vocalist, is a 23 year old nursing student and will win your heart as she sings your favorite jazz tunes. She is a delight to watch as she connects with the audience. The Steve Lett Trio is comprised of three of the most talented musicians in this area, making for a great night of jazz. Friday is Veterans Day, a federal holiday to commemorate the anniversary
of the ending of World War I. According to the VA website, the major
hostilities ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
The day has since evolved to primarily be a time of honoring living veterans who have served in the military during wartime or peacetime, partially due to competition with Memorial Day, which primarily honors the dead.
