From the Chef: "This weekend our restaurant is featuring fresh "Escobar", white Tuna with a mild but delicious taste, which we had flown in fresh from Hawaii." What a great way to start a weekend!

Tommy 'T-Bone' Pruitt sings the blues Friday night!
Tommy 'T-Bone' Pruitt   Mississippi Blues...coming your way Shandi Shiver
Get down with 'T-Bone' tonight in the Courtyard as he and his band bring the Mississippi Blues to downtown Hattiesburg. Tommie 'T-Bone' Pruitt is a 70 year old Mississippi Blues artist who received notariety while playing with The Five Royals, as listed in the Congressional Records.

Their music is archived at the University of Mississippi. He also played with Solomon Burke and was a bus driver for Bo Diddley. His current band has been performing together for over 15 years. I heard that he is getting ready to record a new CD, which I'm sure will land in the archives of the blues. Come out and see him perform live tonight!

John Wooton and 'Kaiso' play Calypso Saturday night!

John Wooton is Director of Percussion Studies at USM. The band's debut cd is available through any of the band members, their website (linked at pic), USM book store, and Millennium Music.
