August entertainment poster  The Leaf River Blues Band is onstage Saturday night!
"Leaf River Blues BandWe are all from Mississippi and have all played different styles throughout our careers. Leaf River Blues Band was created in 2007.

The band emerged from the two local blues bands, Crossthread and Coursey Street Blues Band.

Leaf River Blues Bands includes the following artists: Bobby Benison (acoustic, harmonica) has a finger style playing that is similar to the Mississippi Delta style, folk, and bluegrass artists. Jimmy Burge (bass player)plays a down home style of rock and bluegrass. He is also the bass player for a local Bluegrass group. Max David Yeager (lead guitar) and song writer brings country, folk, gospel, and rock to the table. Ernie Moore (percussion) is a native of Clarksdale, Ms. His drummin' style includes rock and blues.

As a group, Leaf River Blues Band can rock the house by infusing sounds from the past with their front porch acoustic blues with a kick."
