Andy Tanas rocks the house
Friday night! |
In 1975 Andy toured as part of an audio crew with Lynyrd
Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker, Outlaws, Wet Willy, Charlie
Daniels, Climax Blues Band, Status Quo, Peter Frampton, .38
Special, Jerry Lee Lewis and many others. After hearing some
of Andy's material, Gary Rossington and Ronnie Van Zant of
Lynyrd Skynryd encouraged him to give up the audio end and
pursue playing and songwriting more seriously. In 1977, he
joined Black Oak Arkansas as a bassist, vocalist and
songwriter. Black Oak signed with Capricorn Records and
released "Race With The Devil" in 1977 and "I'd Rather Be
Sailing" in 1978. Two songs of Andy's appeared on "I'd
Rather Be Sailing": You Keep Me Waiting and Innocent Eyes.
His music has evolved over the years . but has not lost the
solid roots of rock and roll.

Big Daddy and the Red Hots heat up
the Courtyard Saturday night! |
The
famous Mississippi and Louisiana Blues Band, Big Daddy Blue
and the Red Hots, will perform Saturday night in our
courtyard.
According
to Mike Chambliss, Big Daddy Blue, "our sound has morphed from
a traditional blues sound to a more modern approach that has
been compared to Jimmy Thackery, Smokin' Joe Kubek, and
Tinsley Ellis.
"Our song list continues to change, as
we incorporate elements of southern R&B, swamp boogie, and
even exposing our country roots on occasion. We play music that
appeals to a wide range of audiences in very diverse places,
from swanky restaurants to biker bars and everything in
between.
"So, if you're looking for something a
little different, check out our website and come see us at
Walnut Circle Grill Saturday night!"
