| Chefs of the Coast Sunday, October 22 |
Stop by the Walnut Circle Grill booth
Our Executive Chefs Mike McElroy (owner) and Hoyt Tanner (General
Manager) will participate in the 24th annual "Chefs of the Coast" Food
and Wine Festival on Sunday. The event takes place at the Mississippi
Coast Colliseum from 4 to 10 p.m.
Last year "Chefs of the Coast " Food & Wine Festival received an award for one of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast Tourism Society. Hurricane Katrina cancelled the 2005 event along with the restaurant & hospitality industry losing more that 250 eating establishments coast wide. Over 30 of your favorite restaurants and caterers will be offering delectable samples of their best dishes. These handpicked culinary professionals each have individual styles and will be as culturally diverse as the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Along with the selection of savories and desserts, patrons will have the opportunity to sample from a collection of more than 100 wines from around the world. Funds raised from this event benefit the community by providing scholarships, aiding non-profit organizations and promoting the restaurant industry. In Addition, the association needs this event to help rebuild its offices that Hurricane Katrina swept away. Tickets are $65 per person. For more info, visit their website, linked below. |

Rhythm and Rain is a Gulf Coast phenomena that specializes in island

In 1998, Rain received the Outstanding Coastal Musician award which recognized him as an active and promising regional performer by the Mississippi Gulf Coast Musician's Association. The band released it's seventh CD, 'For What It's Worth' in 2005. If you missed their performance during the Fall Art Walk a couple of weeks ago, now's your chance to come out and feel the rhythm of an outstanding band. |

| Steve Reynolds |
Southern rock and blues
Winner of the 2003 Telluride Acoustic Blues Competition, Steve Reynold's
latest CD “Downriver,” is a lively album of story songs laced with
Reynolds’ trademark finger-style acoustic guitar work. Although Steve’s
previous release, “Too Much Coffee” was a hard album to follow, Reynolds
has done some serious groundbreaking with “Downriver”.
An accomplished singer-songwriter, Reynolds performs a variety of originals as well as some tried and true covers that take the listener on quite a journey. Steve is one of our favorites at WCG and delivers a crisp show that entices and entertains. You'll enjoy his original music as well as his bluesy covers of James Taylor and other artists, backed by his compelling talent on the acoustic guitar. |
