The blues, the whole blues and nothin' but the blues!
Big Juv is led by Jackson blues man Virgil Brawley who is accompanied by
fellow blues star Byrd Lovell. Virgil Brawley represented Mississippi in
the International Blues Competition in Memphis TN. He has won the
Mississippi single/duo Blues Competition held in Vicksburg.
The duo performs regularly at some of Jackson's hottest night spots, including Archestratus Grill, Fenian's Pub, the Mardi Gras Jazz Bar and the Alumni House. These seasoned performers know how to deliver the blues, Mississippi style! |

Southern rock and blues
Dustin Messina is a 21-year-old guitar player/singer- songwriter from
Jackson, MS. He started playing in the local blues clubs at age 13 and
hasn't stopped since.
Dustin has played with the famed guitar player Jeff Healey and has opened for the legendary B.B. King. He also shares the same birthday as two of his biggest influences, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Keb' Mo (October 3rd). Just recently signed with the Indie record label Grace Productions Group, Dustin's self-titled album was released September 6th. Southern Miss returns to M.M. Roberts Stadium for the first time in
three games when they entertain Conference USA foe, Houston, in a 6 p.m.
contest Saturday for the school's homecoming.
Tailgetting will get kicked off early pre-game. Walnut Circle Grill opens at 5 pm and looks forward to celebrating USM's Homecoming! Come out and relax in the cool night air with dinner and your favorite beverage! GO EAGLES!! |
