| Rhythm and Rain |
Stop in for some great island trop-rock!
Rhythm and Rain is a Gulf Coast phenomena that specializes in island
trop/rock music flavored with a Mississippi Delta heritage. Their music
covers everything from Jimmy Buffett to the blues, performing in a wide
range of venues from their hometown of Bay St. Louis to the Gulf
Shores/Destin area and points north.
Joining Rain onstage will be Koney Ferrell from Atlanta, GA who plays Bass, Mandolin, and Hawaiian Steel in place of Frank Bridges (who is settling in his new home up in New Jersey). Koney Ferrell is also a member of the Atlanta band "A1A" - The Official Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show. In 1998, Rain received the Outstanding Coastal Musician award which recognized him as an active and promising regional performer by the Mississippi Gulf Coast Musician's Association. The band released it's seventh CD, 'For What It's Worth' in 2005. If you missed their performance during the Fall Art Walk a couple of weeks ago, now's your chance to come out and feel the rhythm of an outstanding band. |
