June 15, 2006 It looks like a singer-songwriter festival...
But we do this every weekend in Historic Downtown Hattiesburg!

President Calvin Coolidge, in 1924, supported the idea of a national Father's Day. Then in 1966 President Lyndon Johnson signed a presidential proclamation declaring the 3rd Sunday of June as Father's Day. President Richard Nixon signed the law which finally made it permanent in 1972.

Where would the world be without the love of our Fathers! Let your Dad know how much you love and appreciate him. Why not treat him to a special dinner at Walnut Circle Grill this weekend!

The Jay Stevens Project performs Friday night
Jay Stevens   Great music Friday night Jay Stevens
Jay Stevens is a Hattiesburg native...a USM graduate and a very talented musician! His brand of acoustic blues, combined with a little folk and a hearty dose of Southern rock makes for some great entertainment.

Relaxed and easy to listen to, he delivers a mature sound that is built on strong vocals and equally strong talent on the guitar. He throws in a little harp just for good measure.

His influences include Neil Young, Chris Isaac, Bruce Springsteen and Keith Whitley, to name a few! Jay is an accomplished songwriter and he's even got a cool song titled 'In the Pinebelt'! Visit his myspace site linked below to check it out!

Come out and check him out Friday night in the Courtyard at Walnut Circle Grill, where 'No cover, Live Entertainment' is our just dessert!

Brady's back! Check him out Saturday night
Brady Roberts   Full blown entertainment from one of our favorites Brady Roberts
Brady Roberts is locally known as one of the best guitarist/vocalists in the area. With his entertaining mix of blues and Southern rock, audiences love him! His music setup makes it hard to believe there is just one musician on the stage.

His musical setlist includes a broad range from Southern rock to folk and blues. Artists he covers include: Jimmy Buffett, Van Morrison, the Eagles, Rod Stewart, Cat Stevens, America, Eric Clapton, the Allman Brothers, James Taylor, Jerry Jeff Walker, Stevie Ray Vaughn, the Gin Blossoms, Dave Mason, Jeff Healy, Willie Nelson and more. And that's only a partial list.

Brady has been performing professionally for over 25 years and currently performs around the state on a weekly basis. Come out and show some love for this consumate gentleman/musician/vocalist/entertainer and sit back and enjoy the show he delivers. You won't be disappointed.
