Beat the heat at Walnut Circle Grill
  Dear Jennifer,
If July is an indicator of weather that has not yet reached it's full potential, we are in for some hot days ahead! Even though I don't have to spend a great deal of time in the elements, I feel as though I have been fully inaugurated into the rites of summer. Just walking a few feet from your car to a building entrance is enough to totally dehydrate you!

Fortunately for those of us here in the South, there is air conditioning...a critical element of survival. It's so amazing to travel to areas of the country where air conditioners are optional...but then they don't have to deal with humidiy (because we got it all!). Bottom line...yes, it's unbearably hot, so give yourself a break and come down to Walnut Circle Grill to enjoy dining at its best in a cool, relaxed atmosphere. We'll leave the A/C on for you!!

Today's Feature - Francaise with Fresh Flounder
Francaise with Fresh Flounder Green beer
Featured this week is "Francaise", a delicious entree served with fresh Chicken, Pork, Veal or Fish du Jour dipped in a batter of eggs, heavy cream and parmesan cheese and sauteed to a golden brown with a White Wine Lemon and Butter Sauce.

I had Francaise with Fresh Flounder, complemented with a serving of String Beans sauteed in butter and garlic and a seasoned Rice Pilaf. The Flounder was light and juicy with a delightfully non-fishy taste, but not lacking on flavor. It was tender, yet gave way easily to the slightest pressure from a fork and so was perfectly delicious. The Green Beans were firm, and flavorfully enriched by the garlic and butter sauce and the Rice Pilaf was not your run-of-the mill Rice Pilaf, but beyond that and then some, with extra spices used to jazz it up. Light, delicious and filling. What more could you ask of a meal? COST: $14.95 to $17.95 depending on selection.

Getting lost in the dessert
Chocolate Tower Cake The Big Juv Trio is the alter-ego of The Juvenators, pictured here
For those times when you feel like you just can't get enough chocolate, WCG's Chocolate Tower Cake might be worth a try! Four creamy layers of dark chocolate layer cake held together by a creamy chocolate frosting and topped with Powdered Sugar and Fresh Berries. Worth the drive. This is just one of many great fresh-baked desserts we have available. Don't get me started on Mike's famous Bread Pudding! (I'll save that for a future issue.)
