Walnut Circle Grill was conceived as part of a family vision to rebuild downtown Hattiesburg. Rich in history, the area had fallen to neglect while the city expanded westward.

The family began sketching ideas of what it 'could' look like and with a lot of work and financial investment, it began to take shape.

Mike McElroy, Jr. as Owner and Executive Chef had a vision for what he wanted to offer in the way of cuisine and atmosphere and Walnut Circle Grill took on the embodiment of that vision.

In 2004, the outdoor Courtyard was converted into a covered, open-air arboretum to enhance the practicality of offering live entertainment throughout the year.

The McElroy family's continuing commitment to downtown Hattiesburg has become an inspiration to area residents and to countless others interested in revitalization and preservation of historic areas.
